FUELING PASSION AND PURPOSE: THE TACO BELL FOUNDATION LIVE MÁS SCHOLARSHIP

For students who dare to dream big and turn their passion into purpose, the Taco Bell Foundation Live Más Scholarship offers an extraordinary opportunity to receive financial support ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. This one-of-a-kind scholarship program is designed to celebrate creativity, individuality, and ambition by empowering young people to pursue their unique paths in life, regardless of GPA, standardized test scores, or traditional academic benchmarks. Each year, the program awards more than $2 million to over 100 recipients across the country, with additional opportunities for renewal for past winners who continue to pursue their goals.

One crucial thing to keep in mind with these is that unlike traditional scholarships that rely on academic achievements or essays, the Live Más Scholarship challenges applicants to showcase their passions and aspirations in a short, two-minute video. Through personal stories, creative performances, animations, or any format that best captures their vision, students can bring their dreams to life and inspire others with their determination. Applicants don’t need to have all the answers - this program values passion over polish and originality over perfection.

A Scholarship for All, by Design
The Live Más Scholarship is open to students aged 16 to 26, making it accessible to high school juniors and seniors, as well as, of course, college students, and even those pursuing alternative educational paths, and older high school freshmen and sophomores (and it is the high schoolers that are of focus on our website, which is specifically for high school students). What sets this program apart is its inclusivity - it’s open to anyone who meets the age requirement, whether they work at a Taco Bell or have no affiliation with the brand, and many high schoolers have traditionally won these. This scholarship aims to uplift diverse voices and dreams, ensuring that no one’s ambitions are limited by financial barriers. For high school juniors and the older sophomores, the opportunity to apply early is particularly significant. They can submit their video during their junior (or sophomore) year and then apply again as seniors, giving them two chances to be recognized and supported. College students and working professionals under 26 can also take advantage of this program to fund their continuing education or entrepreneurial projects.

Changing Lives: Stories of Success
The impact of the Live Más Scholarship, along with many other scholarships we highlight on our pages, extends far beyond financial aid - it changes lives. Take, for instance, Maya Gonzalez, a past recipient who used her scholarship to pursue a degree in environmental science. In her video, Maya shared her vision of creating sustainable farming practices to combat food insecurity. She reflects, "The Live Más Scholarship didn’t just fund my education; it validated my dreams. Knowing someone believed in my purpose gave me the courage to push forward." Another inspiring story is that of Jordan Lee, an aspiring filmmaker who used his scholarship to fund his first short film about mental health awareness. Jordan’s video was raw and heartfelt, detailing how his passion for storytelling stemmed from his own struggles. “Winning this scholarship gave me the resources to share my story with the world,” Jordan says. “It opened doors I never thought possible. ”These testimonials reflect the scholarship’s mission: to nurture creativity, spark innovation, and build confidence in young dreamers.

Renewable Support for Continued Growth
One of the most compelling features of the Live Más Scholarship is its renewal program. Past recipients can reapply for additional funding as they progress in their educational or professional journeys, ensuring that the Foundation remains a steady partner in their success. This ongoing support has helped many students not only finish their education but also launch careers, start businesses, and give back to their communities.

A Legacy of Inspiration
The Taco Bell Foundation Live Más Scholarship is more than a financial aid program - it’s a movement to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders, creators, and changemakers. By investing in students’ passions, it fuels innovation, celebrates individuality, and proves that bold dreams can become reality with the right support. Whether you’re an artist, entrepreneur, advocate, or visionary, the Live Más Scholarship offers you the chance to share your story and turn your passion into action. As past winners will tell you, it’s not just about receiving financial aid - it’s about joining a community of dreamers who are reshaping the future.

The application process is simple but impactful. Students submit a two-minute video explaining what they’re passionate about and how they plan to use their passion to make a difference. There’s no need for fancy equipment or professional editing - what matters is authenticity and heart. Videos are evaluated by a panel of judges who look for creativity, originality, and alignment with the scholarship’s core values.
